Enjoy an elegant Afternoon Tea at the Castle. This tradition was first made popular by Anna Russell, the seventh Duchess of Bedford, in 1840. It is said The Duchess would become peckish in between her lunch and late evening meal therefore she began inviting friends to join her in her rooms at Woburn Abbey for tea and light refreshments; and so the tradition of Afternoon Tea began.
To continue this custom we invite you to indulge in our Afternoon Tea featuring a three tiered stand brimming with a delicious combination of savoury and sweet treats created by our talented chefs in the Café kitchen.
Lovingly prepared selection of finger sandwiches generously filled with locally sourced produce.
