Hackle was a real Labrador who lived and worked at the Castle. He died in January 2012.
Hackle was always on hand to greet visitors with a big smile and a waggy tail. He loved his family, the staff at the Castle, and visitors – especially the children. He really looked forward to the postman coming each day with his biscuit! He was a well known face on the North Inch and at Perth Bowling Club.
Hackle liked nothing better than to wander around the gardens of his beloved Castle and sit himself down in the car park to wait for visitors. Whether you were a general or a private soldier, rank didnt bother him!
His fun-loving attitude lives on as our Museum mascot for our family activities.
