FRIENDS EVENTS COMMITTEE

The Friends have set up an Events Committee to concentrate on the planning and running of our events. The inaugural meeting of this Committee took place on Monday 30th January 2012. The Events Committee will enable the Friends to develop the events programme we offer whilst enabling the general Committee to focus on the overall development of the Friends organisation.

HONORARY FRIENDS PRESENTATION

On 30th January 2012 the Friends presented the Provost of Angus, Ruth Leslie Melville MBE OStJ with Honorary membership. The Friends wished to recognise the support given by the Provost of Angus to The Black Watch Regimental family and the development plans for The Black Watch Castle and Museum. The Provost of Angus visited Balhousie Castle to recieve her Honorary membership. She is pictured below accepting the membership from Friends chairwoman, Sarah Riddell-Webster; also in the picture is from left to right Major Ronnie Proctor, James Watt (Treasurer) and Alfie Iannetta (The Black Watch Museum Trust Chief Executive).
