“When you can afford it possibly earphones at dioramas – occasionally clashes with visuals”
The redeveloped Museum will provide a very different experience – watch this space…
“Better disabled access”
This is something we are very aware of but, due to the nature of the building, have been unable to resolve in a satisfactory way. We converted the ground floor in to Museum display areas some years ago, which help somewhat. However the redevelopment will see a lift being installed – hoping this will make access much easier for all!
“Possible family memories – recent”
We are planning to have the results of our recent reminiscence project – This Happens in War – on display in the redeveloped Museum, due to open in 2013. These reminiscences are currently online at:

“Do you have schools visit?”
Yes, we do have schools visit. Most of our interactions with schools are through outreach at their request (it saves on their travel costs). Please see the Learning section of our website for details.
