As part of improvements to documentation of the collection, the daunting task of marking and labelling the entire collection was a priority. A group of NADFAS volunteers were of great assistance in progressing this large body of work. They began work in October 2007 and the task was completed in 2009.
The group then began work on the inventory of objects in store.
They have also been of great assistance in cataloguing the photographic archive. The task involved checking the items in store against the paper catalogue and repacking the items for long-term storage. The result of the project is information about what is in the photographic archive and where, in preparation for this data to go on to the electronic database.
The skills of these four ladies knows no bounds.

Muriel Mackie and Barbara Lyall taking part in the invetory of objects in store - in this case an elephant tusk and a set of sports medals. The other members of the group were Rosemary Pitcaithly and Beryl Bown.
