A visit to this ancestral home of The Black Watch brings this glorious Regiment's past vibrantly to life.
The Museum is laid our chronologically through ten rooms within the Castle. These display an amazing variety of artefacts illustrating the history of the Regiment as well as a fine collection of paintings and photography. Supplemented by a number of audiovisual installations the overall experience is highly evocative and brings to life the experience of serving in the Black Watch from Fontenoy to Fallujah and beyond.
Because of the nature of the building disabled access is limited but we hope to make significant improvements with the re-development of the Museum.
Entry to the Museum is free but we welcome donations to the upkeep of this important and lasting tribute to The Black Watch.
The Museum is well signed on all approach routes into the city and ample free parking is available in the grounds and the surrounding streets. It is within easy walking distance of the centre of Perth.
