The Black Watch and Homecoming Scotland

The year that Robert Burns was born, The Black Watch had been in existence for nearly 20 years. The Regiment had already gained fame and a reputation as a formidable fighting force.

The Museum of The Black Watch is a living memorial to the many thousands of men who have served in the Regiment. During July and August 2009 the Museum will run to special events to celebrate Homecoming Scotland.

“Reading Around The Museum” is a literary tour of the Museum, and consists of poetry and prose relating to the history of the Regiment.
“Black Watch Pictures and Portraits” looks at the varied and interesting art collection in the Museum.
