Retirement of Major RJW Proctor MBE

On 31st March 2010, Major Ronnie Proctor will have completed 10 years and 9 months service as the Assistant Regimental Secretary of The Black Watch. His Service in this post has been driven by the loyalty, trust and high ideals that he learnt from the 39 years he spent in The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment). From boy soldier to Regimental Sergeant Major of the 1st Battalion, and as Quartermaster of both the 1st and 3rd Battalions, he has contributed an enormous amount to the Regiment and the Army.

At a small gathering to mark his retirement, a cake was made displaying the Regimental badge. Lieutenant Colonel Riddell said that Major’s Proctor experience and dedication have been invaluable whilst working at Balhousie Castle for over a decade. He will be greatly missed and he has the thanks of many people for his exceptional service.
