Collect your activity backpack at the ticket desk and set off prepared for challenges around the museum. Try our Find and Tick sheets, Letter Hunt or our Golden Labrador mascot Hackle’s Trail. Available for ages 6-8 years, 9-11 years and 12+.
We have a new family activity corner complete with brass rubbing, jigsaws, colouring sheets and word puzzles.

Friday 22nd to Monday 25th April
Exclusively for Easter weekend, Hackle will challenge you to find the messages he has left on the Easter eggs hidden around the Museum. Available for ages 5 years and under, 6-8 years, 9-11 years and 12+.
Saturday 14th May
In May, as part of the Festival of Museum weekend, we are staging a re-enactment which will include a working, living history camp in the museum grounds. See how uniform was worn and watch displays of weaponry throughout the day. Performances at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.
Free drop-in events, no booking required.
