FRIENDS KEYNOTE LECTURE:
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission

The Keynote Lecture held on Thursday 29th September was a great success. Lieutenant General Sir Alistair Irwin gave an illustrated talk on The Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The evening began with a wine reception where guests took the opportunity to mingle, chat and enjoy the wine, cordial and canopes. The evening was well attended and the reception area was awash with chatter and laughter. The Lecture began at 7.30pm through to 8.30pm with guests taking the chance to ask a variety of questions. As guests left the gallery feedback was given about how engaging, informative and humbling the lecture was.

The Friends would like to thank Sir Alistair for his time and efforts in giving this lecture. Thank you also to our three volunteers, Rosemary Pitcaithly, Laura MacLaren and Marc Hadden, all of whom helped to make the evening the success that it was.
