Major (Retd) Derek Mowatt has been involved in redeveloping the Museum’s galleries for many years. A former TA officer and art teacher, Major Mowatt has spent much time reframing pictures and carrying out remedial conservation, amongst other tasks in the Museum. He has also been involved in the development of several galleries in the Museum, and not least by using his skills as an artist to create various backdrops and maps.
